THE ROLE:
We are seeking a highly motivated OpenBMC Software Engineer to join our Embedded Software team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in Embedded Linux, Yocto, OpenBMC, Linux kernel development, BSP customization, and board bring-up activities. The engineer will work closely with hardware, firmware, and platform teams to develop and maintain OpenBMC solutions for next-generation AMD platforms. Location : Hyderabad, India
THE PERSON: The ideal candidate should be passionate about software engineering and possess leadership skills to drive sophisticated issues to resolution. Able to communicate effectively and work optimally with different teams across AMD.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Work with AMD’s architecture specialists to improve future products
- Apply a data minded approach to target optimization efforts
- Stay informed of software and hardware trends and innovations, especially pertaining to algorithms and architecture
- Design and develop new groundbreaking AMD technologies
- Participating in new ASIC and hardware bring up s
- Develop technical relationships with peers and partners
- Develop, customize, and maintain OpenBMC software stacks.
- Develop and debug Linux kernel drivers and user-space applications.
- Perform board bring-up and hardware/software integration.
