SMTS S OFTWARE DEVELOPMENT ENG INEER
THE ROLE: AMD is looking for an influential software engineer who is passionate about improving the performance of key applications and benchmarks . You will be a member of a core team of incredibly talented industry specialists and will work with the very latest hardware and software technology.
THE PERSON: The ideal candidate should be passionate about software engineering and possess l eadership skills to drive sophisticated issues to resolution. Able to communicate effectively and work optimally with different teams across AMD.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead the architecture, design and development of the common automation framework for AMD SPSE team
- Design and develop/manage - APIs for integration using Java, Azure based cloud solutions
- Deploy application in containerized server infrastructure
- Design, develop, and support various Post Silicon Validation efforts
- Work and partner with engineering teams to understand needs, define requirements, and deliver efficient solutions
- Influence Technical Strategy: Contribute to defining technical strategies and roadmaps
- Translate complex business requirements into clear, reusable, and scalable system capabilities.
- Participating in new ASIC and hardware bring ups
- Identify technical bottlenecks as the business evolves and drive medium- to long-term technical planning
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
• Proficiency in Python or Java
- Proficiency in Python or Java
- Experience with web service technology like REST, XML and JSON
- Automation and CI/CD Proficiency: Experience building and maintaining automated testing, benchmarking, and continuous integration/continuous deployment pipelines. Experience with Jenkins will be preferable
- Experience with ReactJS and Vue.js will be good to have
- Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis abilities.
- Strong knowledge of data structures and algorithms.
- Strong knowledge of integration architectures, best practices, tools, techniques, and platforms.
- Familiarity with containerization and orchestration technologies, such as Docker and Kubernetes is preferred
- Familiarity with cloud-based solutions such as Azure, AWS, GCP is preferred
- Problem-Solving and Analytical Skills: Good analytical, problem-solving and debugging skills
- Ability to guide and mentor junior member of the team.
- Track record of driving improvements in large-scale systems
- Experience with modern concurrent programming and threading APIs Experience with Windows, Linux and/or Android operating system development
- Experience with software development processes and tools such as debuggers, source code control systems (GitHub) and profilers is a plus
- Collaboration and Communication - Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to various audiences and collaborate effectively
- Bachelor’s or M aster's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent </li
