Employment Type: Full time Shift: 12 Hour Day Shift Description: Trinity Health Of New England is looking for a Mental Health Worker / Behavioral Health Technician to join our team of mission-driven healthcare professionals located on our Behavioral Health Unit located at Johnson Memorial Hospital l in Stafford Springs CT .
The Mental Health Worker / Behavioral Health Tech is key role to keep patients engaged in recovery-oriented activities, help to communicate patient’s needs to the clinical team, to monitor patient safety and to work with the nursing professionals to create a healing environment for patients. You Will Be Responsible For:
• Performs patient observations and other patient care activities.
- Performs patient observations and other patient care activities.
- Observes patient behavior.
- Performs, reports, and documents vital signs, ADLs.
- Responds rapidly to emergency call lights and performs safety checks.
- Provides group and individual interventions to assist the psychiatric patient towards recovery and rehabilitation.
• Education: High School Diploma/Equivalent with related experience required. Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services or related field preferred

- Certification: AHA CPR/BLS for Healthcare Providers
- Experience: Possesses a broad practical understanding of life experiences and the ability to relate to emotionally ill individuals.
- Prior experience in psychiatric setting a plus.
- Ability to prioritize tasks. Maintain confidentiality. Good problem-solving skills.
- Full -Time – Days (36 hours – three 12 hours shifts 7a -7p)

Pay Range: $18.70 - $28.05
Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location.
