Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) – Rhode Island Remote | Full-Time Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–5:00 PM $115,000–$120,000 per year with full benefits This role is for an LMHC who is comfortable working independently with a regular caseload of Rhode Island clients. Much of the work will involve talking with clients about what has been difficult lately, understanding what may be contributing to those concerns, and helping them make sense of what they are experiencing. Some clients may need short-term support during a difficult period, while others may remain in therapy longer. You will be responsible for keeping each case organized and making sound decisions about what should happen next. Duties
• Hold private one-on-one sessions by video
- Hold private one-on-one sessions by video
- Learn about each client’s background, current situation, and reason for coming to therapy
- Work through concerns such as grief, stress, trauma, mood changes, and major life events
- Help clients recognize patterns that may be making things harder
- Discuss practical ways to handle difficult situations between sessions
- Keep case notes and required records organized
- Decide when another provider or service should be involved
- Follow Rhode Island requirements for licensed mental health counseling
• Active Rhode Island LMHC license in good standing
- Active Rhode Island LMHC license in good standing
- Master’s degree in Counseling, Clinical Mental Health Counseling, Psychology, or a related field
- Experience providing therapy or counseling services
- Strong understanding of assessments, treatment planning, and documentation
- Strong communication and time management skills
