Role Overview We are seeking dedicated, certified Special Education Tutors / Instructors to provide direct, high-impact in-person educational support to students at local school sites in Newburgh, NY . In this role, you will deliver tailored 1:1 or small-group instruction adapted to each student’s unique learning needs, IEP goals, and academic requirements. We are looking for empathetic educators who excel at creating structured, supportive learning environments where students feel encouraged to thrive. Position Details

- Schedule: Tentative school-day hours (8:30 AM – 3:30 PM); specific days and session schedules communicated upon assignment
- Format: 100% In-Person
• Provide individualized 1:1 or small-group Special Education instruction aligned with student IEP goals and curricular standards.

- Differentiate learning materials and techniques to support diverse learning styles, cognitive abilities, and behavioral needs.
- Track student attendance, engagement, and academic progress throughout each assignment.
- Maintain positive, professional communication with school site contacts and program coordinators.
- Foster a safe, encouraging, and structured learning atmosphere.
• Valid New York State Special Education Teaching Certification (Required).
- Valid New York State Special Education Teaching Certification (Required).
- Proven experience working with students receiving special education services in a school, clinical, or formal tutoring setting.
- Strong classroom management, lesson adaptation, and student engagement skills.
- Reliable transportation to travel to assigned school locations in Newburgh, NY .
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Competitive pay rate: $25.00 – $35.00/hour .
- Consistent daytime school-hour schedules.
