The Manufacturing Associate – Mechanical is responsible for manufacturing of printed circuit board assemblies to specification and in a timely manner. Vanguard EMS, Inc. is in the service business. What you’ll do:
• Navigate and perform transactions in Smarter Production System • Follow safety protocols, material handling process, and written work instructions • Set-up and operate press fit and detab machines • Press components into circuit boards • Perform torque testing and 1st piece run inspection process • Maintain the condition of fixtures, tooling, and detab equipment • Work with Coordinator and Engineering to improve processing • Maintain a clean work area • Performs other duties as assigned. Requirements What you’ll need:
- Basic proficiency in computer systems including Microsoft Excel (vlookups, etc), Office, and Outlook
- Read, understand & write English
- Ability to work well with others or by themselves
- Detail-oriented
- Able to demonstrate sound decision making and mechanical ability
- Work safely in a manufacturing environment
Education and/or Experience
• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent
- High School Diploma, GED or equivalent
- Experience using electronics prep tools
- Knowledge and use of IPC 610 and J-STD
• Experience with pneumatic presses, machine set-up, and/or prepping electronics components
- Experience with pneumatic presses, machine set-up, and/or prepping electronics components
- Soldering PCBA’s
