Part Time Nanny & Household Helper – Piedmont, CA
A family in Piedmont, CA 94602 is seeking a reliable, attentive caregiver and household helper for their 5 year old daughter. The role involves assisting with morning routines, school drop-offs and pickups, and helping keep the child's space organized.
Schedule:
- Start Date: Asap
- Tuesday: 7:00 AM – 10:00 AM
- Wednesday: 7:00 AM – 10:00 AM & 12:30 PM – 4:30 PM
- Thursday: 7:00 AM – 10:00 AM
- Total hours: ~13 hours per week
Family Specifications:
- Parents work in an office on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, requiring the caregiver to manage the morning routine independently.
- Family prepares outfits, lunches, and snacks in advance to facilitate a smooth routine.
- Family provides a travel car seat for the caregiver’s vehicle.
- Home includes a small (10 lb) senior chihuahua that remains in a private room
- Smoke free home
Responsibilities:
- Assist the child with her morning routine, including getting dressed, eating breakfast, and preparing for the day.
- Safely drive the child to school in Oakland for morning drop-off (approximately 1.5 miles away).
- Return to the home after drop-off to tidy the child's bedroom, sort her laundry, and organize schoolwork for the next day.
- Pick up the child from school on Wednesdays at 12:50 PM and provide engaging afternoon care (with potential to transport her to an extracurricular Spanish class).
- Assist with personal hygiene, including bathroom wiping care.
Requirements:
- Experience caring for preschool or kindergarten-aged children.
- Valid driver’s license, safe driving record, and a personal vehicle capable of fitting a travel car seat.
- Comfortable providing personal hygiene assistance
Compensation:
- $26–$28 per hour
