About the Role We are looking for a Backend Engineer with hands-on ERP implementation experience to join our technology team. The ideal candidate will have strong backend development expertise along with experience in implementing, integrating, customizing, or supporting ERP systems. The role will involve developing scalable backend services, integrating ERP platforms with internal and external applications, and working closely with product, implementation, and business teams to deliver robust enterprise solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable and high-performance backend applications and services .
- Develop APIs and backend services to support ERP and enterprise applications.
- Participate in ERP implementation, integration, customization, and enhancement activities.
- Integrate ERP systems with third-party applications, databases, and internal platforms.
- Understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Work on data migration, data synchronization, and system integration as required.
- Troubleshoot and resolve application, API, integration, and ERP-related issues.
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code following engineering best practices.
- Collaborate with frontend developers, QA, DevOps, product managers, ERP consultants, and business stakeholders.
- Participate in technical discussions, code reviews, testing, deployment, and production support.
- Contribute to improving application performance, scalability, security, and reliability.
Required Skills & Experience
- 2–6 years of experience in backend development.
- Strong experience in one or more backend technologies such as Java, Node.js, Python, .NET, or similar .
- Strong understanding of REST APIs, microservices, databases, and system integration .
- Hands-on experience with ERP implementation / integration / customization is mandatory.
- Experience working with ERP platforms such as SAP, Oracle ERP, Microsoft Dynamics, Odoo, ERPNext, or similar will be preferred.
- Good understanding of relational databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, or Oracle .
- Experience with API integration, authentication, data exchange, and third-party system integration.
- Good understanding of software development lifecycle and Agile methodologies.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Good to Have
- Experience with ERP implementation projects from requirement gathering through go-live .
- Exposure to ERP modules such as Finance, HR, Procurement, Supply Chain, Sales, or Inventory .
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP .
- Knowledge of CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes, or other DevOps practices.
- Experience working in enterprise technology or IT services environments.
Education Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering , or a related discipline.
Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate is a backend engineer who understands not only software development but also how enterprise ERP systems are implemented and integrated with business applications . Strong hands-on engineering skills combined with ERP project exposure will be critical for this role.
