The Engineer /Developer - AI is an early-career engineer who supports the design, development and testing of AI solutions for AMETEK India Engineering and its Business Units. The role suits a keen learner who adapts quickly to a new working environment, builds a solid understanding of AMETEK products and engineering workflows, and grows into independent delivery of assigned tasks. Key Responsibilities: Development and Support
• Implement well-defined components in Python, such as data preparation, document-processing pipelines, RAG components, prompts, scripts and APIs.

- Support testing and evaluation of solutions, and document results, code and setup clearly.
• Quickly learn the team’s tools, platforms, coding standards and engineering domain context.

- Technology awareness: explore the latest AI tools and techniques and share useful findings with the team.
- Seek and act on feedback from reviews; use version control and team practices consistently.
• Work with the Technical Lead - AI and BU engineers to understand needs and support user testing and feedback.

- Ensure compliance with applicable AMETEK IT policies, security requirements and governance processes, including data-classification, export-control and customer-IP requirements.
• Update the Technical Lead - AI on task progress at pre-defined intervals, and raise blockers early.

- Maintain clear records of test results and issues to support KPI and dashboard reporting.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, AI/ML or a related engineering discipline. • 0 to 2 years of experience, including internships, academic or personal projects in AI/ML. • Working proficiency in Python; basic understanding of machine learning and LLM concepts. • Exposure to Generative AI or RAG through projects, coursework or self-learning is an advantage.
