About the job
As a key member of the software development department this role is responsible and accountable for:
• The testing of desktop applications.
- The testing of desktop applications.
- Writing manual and automations tests
- Participating in techncial discussions
- Working with Jira and associated test tools
- Preparing and maintaining technical documentation,
• Good Degree Level education (2:1 or higher) in Software Engineering/Computer Science or equivalent with at least 2 years’ experience in a software engineering role within the .Net ecosystem.
- Good Degree Level education (2:1 or higher) in Software Engineering/Computer Science or equivalent with at least 2 years’ experience in a software engineering role within the .Net ecosystem.
- Experience in manual and automation testing
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills with the ability to work effectively.
• Experience gained in the metrology, precision engineering, machine tool industry or Optics industry.
- Experience gained in the metrology, precision engineering, machine tool industry or Optics industry.
- Demonstrated ability and willingness to use AI tools to improve productivity, decision-marking, work quality, and to reduce costs. The successful candidate must be able to identify appropriate AI use cases and critically evaluate AI-generated outputs.
- Team player, adept at working within Agile software development teams.
- Flexible approach to tasks, investigating problems with an open and enquiring mind.
- Understand why technology people get out of bed in the morning to come to work.
