The role
Raydar is recruiting for this role on behalf of our client. Develop production control and localization systems for heavy autonomous vehicles operating in challenging industrial environments.
What you'll do
- Design and tune MPC and PID algorithms for autonomous vehicles across changing loads and terrain.
- Develop localization and state-estimation pipelines using GPS/RTK, IMUs, and other sensors.
- Analyze field tests and recorded logs to diagnose control issues.
- Integrate controls with perception, planning, and hardware systems.
- Travel to customer sites for deployment, testing, and tuning. Requirements What we're looking for
- 3 to 10 years of relevant robotics controls experience.
- Production deployment experience with localization, navigation, or lateral and longitudinal control on real autonomous vehicles.
- Hands-on ROS, Linux, and model predictive control experience.
- Strong Python and C++ programming, with Kalman filtering and sensor-fusion knowledge.
- A degree in robotics, mechanical, aerospace, or electrical engineering.
Bonus points
- Experience in autonomous mining or heavy vehicles.

Location and work model
