Senior Software Engineer

About the company Our client is a fast-growing technology company. The role Raydar is recruiting for this role on behalf of our client. Own the design and delivery of backend services and shared platform infrastructure, putting modern AI models and autonomous agents to work inside a software product. This is a senior, high-ownership position where priorities shift over time, and it involves close collaboration with technical leadership on long-range architecture. What you'll do - Decide how AI agents and AI-assisted development tools are used across the engineering stack. - Architect and lead core systems, including real-time matching and automated screening workflows driven by machine learning. - Take responsibility for platform architecture with the needs of the next year or two in mind. - Improve backend speed, reliability and capacity to grow. - Build and evolve the agent layer, covering orchestration, quality measurement and model selection. - Spend time with users and operators on site and turn those observations into lasting product patterns. - Set up rigorous quality measurement for AI behavior, including test data, scoring methods, regression checks and experimentation tools. - Hire and mentor engineers, and work with product and operations leaders on a multi-year roadmap. Requirements What we're looking for - Sound product instincts and attention to user problems and business results. - History of owning features and whole products in early-stage, rapidly growing companies. - Deep Python and/or TypeScript/Node.js expertise, with experience architecting APIs, data models and distributed services using a relational database and a messaging or streaming tool. - Experience taking AI agent products from zero to launch in a young company. - A technical university degree, such as computer science, from a highly ranked school. - Ease leading and delivering large initiatives quickly amid uncertainty and competing stakeholder demands. - Genuine enthusiasm for working on-site five days a week. Bonus points - Varied background across product areas, such as applied AI, recommendation or matching systems, marketplaces, multi-sided platforms, recruiting, or building for users in traditional industries.
