Senior Software Engineer

About the company Our client is a fast-growing software company. The role Raydar is recruiting for this role on behalf of our client. Take ownership of backend capabilities for a data-heavy software platform, covering storage design, data flow, services and monitoring. Collaborate with product, design and customer-facing colleagues to ship features, and lead the move of LLM-driven automation from experiment to production. What you'll do - Architect the schemas, ingestion layers and processing flows that keep a large-scale platform running. - Take full responsibility for backend features from initial design through APIs, infrastructure and monitoring. - Partner with product and engineering colleagues to translate user needs into both conventional and AI-driven features. - Create internal admin tooling that helps operate and manage the platform behind the scenes. - Guide LLM-powered automation from early research and model comparison through to a production release. - Assess and bring in new AI and developer tools that raise team velocity, code quality and maintainability. - Offer technical assistance to sales and customer success teammates as needed. Requirements What we're looking for - At least 3 years of professional software engineering experience. - Hands-on background in designing scalable data storage, processing pipelines and system integrations, using Postgres. - Prior work at a company where AI was central, or experience releasing AI-powered products. - Solid backend engineering fundamentals. - A bachelor's degree. - A record of driving projects to completion with little supervision on a small, self-directed team. - US work authorization without sponsorship. - Ability to work from the office at least 4 days per week. Bonus points - Familiarity with building LLM-based automation and conversational tools. - Proficiency in Python. Benefits Compensation and benefits - Base salary: USD 180,000 to 200,000 per year - Equity Location and work model - New York, NY, United States - On-site, at least 4 days per week in the office - Full-time
