Job Description The Senior Quantity Surveyor will be responsible for critical financial and quantitative aspects of construction projects. This role demands precision, attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining project integrity.
- Execute meticulous quantification from drawings, design information, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Conduct thorough verification of quantities provided by Engineers or Suppliers to maintain project accuracy.
- Diligently obtain and analyse quotations and pricing from suppliers and vendors to support cost-effective decision-making.
- Develop and structure comprehensive estimates, bills of quantities, and bills of materials with utmost precision.
- Perform in-depth rate analysis to ensure competitive and realistic project costing.
- Implement and maintain robust project WBS structures to effectively track and control cost information.
- Establish, set, and rigorously track project baseline budgets, ensuring fiscal responsibility and project viability.
- Deliver accurate and timely reporting of project information, including professional liaison with broader project team members and stakeholders.
- Demonstrate proficient knowledge of CPWD Publications, DSR, and other relevant industry standards.
- Must be ready to travel outstation as and when required for interacting with client
Qualifications The successful candidate must possess the following qualifications:
• A degree in Civil or Construction Engineering is mandatory.
- A degree in Civil or Construction Engineering is mandatory.
- A minimum 8 - 10 years of experience in the buildings sector, specifically in Quantity Surveying and Cost Estimation, is required.
- Comprehensive knowledge of Structural and Architectural items and methods used in the construction of buildings (including Commercial and Residential complexes, Airports, Metro Stations, and Warehouses) is essential.
- A thorough understanding of contract conditions is essential.
- Proficiency in industry-standard software is non-negotiable, including:
- AutoCAD
- Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Expertise in Revit or BIM software will be considered a significant advantage.
- In-depth familiarity with CPWD publications is crucial, including:
- Delhi Schedule of Rates (DSR)
- Plinth Area Rates (PAR)
- MORTH Specifications
- Maharashtra State PWD Schedule of Rates
