Job Requisition #: 035936 IT Procurement and Finance Intern (Open)
Job Description: Greif is seeking a motivated Intern to join our IT Procurement organization based in Chennai. This six-month internship offers an opportunity to learn and contribute across multiple areas, including analytics, data governance, spend analysis, license compliance.
The intern will work alongside experienced team members located across the world on real-world data initiatives and gain exposure to modern data platforms, tools, and business applications. Based on performance and business needs, the internship may lead to a full-time position with Greif.
- Assist in building and maintaining our contract repository with accurate contract information and liaise with the relevant stakeholders.
- Support spend analysis, reporting, dashboard development, and visualization.
- Validate and categorize spend, scrutinize invoices and flag discrepancies.
- Assist with follow-up on ongoing projects, chase stakeholders, organize meetings and gather and compile information.
- Maintain contract database and ensure integration with ITAM and ITSM tools where applicable.
- Periodically maintain license assignments on enterprise agreements.
Education and Experience:
- Four-year bachelor’s degree completed or nearing completion in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Finance or a related field.
- Foundational knowledge of Contract concepts and invoice processing.
- Exposure to one or more of these would be beneficial: Coupa, Contract Management, ITIL, ITAM.
- Must be based in or near Chennai and able to work on-site at the Greif Chennai office.
Knowledge and Skills :
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Curiosity and willingness to learn new technologies and business processes.
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
