What You'll Do Develop and maintain relationships with retail insurance agencies. Evaluate commercial risks and determine marketability and coverage strategy. Analyze submissions, identify underwriting concerns, and structure solutions for complex E&S risks. Market submissions to E&S carriers and negotiate pricing, terms, and coverage. Present coverage recommendations and underwriting solutions to retail agents. Manage accounts from submission through binding. Build and grow a profitable book of business. Stay current on carrier appetite, underwriting guidelines, and market trends. Requirements What We're Looking For Experience in commercial insurance, brokerage, underwriting, or a related role, with a desire to continue developing your expertise. An understanding of commercial insurance risks and coverage, or the ability and willingness to learn quickly. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to evaluate accounts and identify solutions. Relationship-building skills and an interest in developing long-term retail agency partnerships. An interest in both underwriting and business development, with the drive to build and grow a profitable book of business. Self-motivated, organized, and comfortable working independently in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment. A proactive, growth-oriented mindset with the initiative to take ownership of your success. An active Property & Casualty license preferred, or the ability to obtain one.
