Position Summary We are seeking an experienced Supplier Quality Engineer (SQE) to manage the quality, reliability, manufacturability, and cost performance of outsourced electronic products, including PCBAs, electronic modules, wire harnesses, cable assemblies, and box-build systems .
Key Responsibilities New Product Introduction (NPI) & Supplier Qualification
- Lead supplier quality activities from prototype through production launch.
- Drive supplier readiness reviews covering process capability, quality systems, manufacturing controls, and test readiness.
- Review and approve:
- Process Flow Diagrams
- PFMEAs
- Control Plans
- Inspection Plans
- Test Strategies
- Work Instructions
- Support product transfers, supplier changes, and production ramp-up activities.
First Article Inspection (FAI)
• Own the FAI process for new products, engineering changes, and supplier transfers.
- Own the FAI process for new products, engineering changes, and supplier transfers.
- Review and approve First Article Inspection Reports (FAIR), qualification reports, BOM validation, and capability studies.
- Ensure all product and process requirements are met prior to production release.
- Lead qualification and validation of supplier test solutions including:
- ICT
- Functional Test (FCT)
- Flying Probe
- Boundary Scan
- Burn-In and Reliability Testing
- Ensure adequate test coverage, measurement system validation, and production readiness.
- Drive improvements in first pass yield, test coverage, and defect escape prevention.
Supplier Quality Management
- Manage quality performance of EMS and assembly suppliers.
- Establish supplier scorecards and quality metrics.
- Conduct supplier reviews and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Lead supplier corrective actions using 8D, CAPA, and root-cause analysis methodologies.
