Plant Finance Manager

Experience: 13-15 Years

Key Responsibilities Financial Planning & Reporting  Lead the annual budgeting process, periodic forecasting, and monthly financial closing activities for the plant.  Analyze actual performance against budget and forecast, highlighting key variances and recommending corrective actions.  Prepare and present management reports on plant financial performance, operational efficiency, inventory management, and cost control. Plant Finance & SAP Governance  Manage end-to-end plant financial transactions in SAP S/4HANA, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely reporting.  Ensure adherence to internal controls, financial policies, and corporate governance requirements.  Support financial reporting and analysis through effective utilization of SAP FI, CO, MM, and FI-AA modules. Inventory & Working Capital Management  Oversee inventory valuation, reconciliation, and control processes to ensure financial accuracy and compliance.  Monitor inventory ageing, slow-moving and obsolete stock, and recommend actions to optimize working capital.  Drive plant-level working capital improvement initiatives related to inventory, supplier advances, receivables, and payment-cycle efficiency. Costing & Profitability Analysis  Own standard costing governance, including Bill of Material validation, production routing verification, overhead absorption analysis, and cost estimate reviews.  Analyze material, labor, and overhead variances and recommend actions for cost optimization.  Monitor Man-Hour Rate (MHR) and product costing to support operational efficiency and profitability improvement. Cost Optimization & Productivity  Validate and track cost-saving initiatives, productivity enhancement projects, and operational improvement programs.  Partner with plant operations teams to identify and monitor financial benefits arising from continuous improvement initiatives. HR Cost & Compliance Management  Review and analyze manpower and HR-related costs, ensuring accuracy and effective cost management.  Support audits, variance analysis, and reporting related to employee costs. Procurement & Fixed Assets Control  Review and verify Purchase Order (PO) releases and information records to ensure financial and procedural compliance.  Manage Fixed Asset accounting, including capitalization, transfers, depreciation reviews, physical verification, and reconciliation. Audit & Compliance  Coordinate statutory audits, internal audits, and Internal Financial Control (IFC) reviews related to plant operations.  Ensure timely closure of audit observations and implementation of corrective actions. Stakeholder Management  Act as the key finance partner to the Plant Head, Operations, Supply Chain, Procurement, HR, and Corporate Finance teams.  Provide financial insights and recommendations to support operational and strategic decision-making. Additional Responsibilities  Undertake finance and plant-operations assignments as directed by Corporate Finance and Plant Leadership. Requirements Desired Profile CMA / MBA Finance. 15+ years of experience in Manufacturing Finance or Plant Finance. Strong understanding of inventory management, cost accounting, working capital control, and manufacturing operations. Excellent analytical, stakeholder-management, and business-partnering skills.
