Job Description 5/8hr shifts This is an on-call position where the response time is 45 minutes max GENERAL SUMMARY
• Provides leadership in the coordination and delivery of quality compassionate patient care. • Utilizes the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation, to provide, delegate, supervise and document care and teaching of patients and family. • Effectively communicates pertinent patient/family information to health care team. • Participates in finding solutions for variances from patient goals and ensures implementation of solutions. • Acts as a patient advocate while utilizing the nursing process to plan, deliver, and evaluate goal focused, individualized, safe, age specific care for all patients including those with complex pathophysiological needs and/or psychosocial needs. UNIT DESCRIPTION: Taking care of patients that need heart catheterizations and also electrophysiology patients throughout the procedure. The RN will be an intraprocedural RN, mixing drips, and giving sedation.
Qualifications EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- BSN preferred.
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
- Clinical knowledge and analytical abilities necessary to formulate effective nursing care plans.
- 3-5 years of nursing experience
- Experience in ICU, ER or critical care
- Cardiac ICU experience preferred or cardiac in general
- CVICU preferred
