Job Description Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant providing comprehensive cardiology care in a 50/50 inpatient/outpatient setting at Henry Ford Health Jackson. This full-time position welcomes new graduates and offers mentorship from experienced cardiologists. Outpatient Responsibilities
• Conduct pre-operative cardiac clearances for surgical patients
- Conduct pre-operative cardiac clearances for surgical patients
- Manage hospital follow-up appointments and post-discharge care coordination
- Perform same-day heart appointments (patient flow triaged by RNs)
- Provide general follow-up care for established patients under cardiologist supervision
- Maintain continuity of care and patient education
• Round with cardiologists on hospitalized patients
- Round with cardiologists on hospitalized patients
- Conduct follow-up consultations to ensure adherence to established care plans
- Collaborate with the cardiology team on clinical decision-making and patient management
• Full-time position: 40 hours per week, day shift

- Weekend coverage: Approximately 1 in 4 weekends
- No on-call requirements
- Travel between two locations (5 miles apart) 1-2 times monthly on the same day
- Locations: HF Jackson Hospital, HF Cardiology Jackson, HF Cardiovascular Medicine - Hillsdale, and HF Cardiology Jonesville
- Adult cardiology caseload
- No operative/surgical responsibilities
Qualifications Required Qualifications
• Master's degree in Nursing (MSN) or Physician Assistant (MSPAS/MPA)
- Master's degree in Nursing (MSN) or Physician Assistant (MSPAS/MPA)
- Current state licensure or certification as a Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
- DEA
- Intensive Care Unit (ICU) clinical experience
- Prior cardiology experience
