About the job
About the company Our client is a fast-growing software company. The role Raydar is recruiting for this role on behalf of our client. Lead the marketing function for a software company, covering positioning, demand generation, launches, sales materials and lifecycle programs. The role is hands-on and judged by the qualified opportunities it delivers to revenue colleagues, and it reports to the company's chief executive. What you'll do - Set positioning and messaging for the company's product lines and how they sell together. - Write core marketing narrative across the website, pitch materials, one-pagers and launch copy. - Provide market-side input into pricing and packaging. - Deliver a steady monthly flow of qualified prospects to the sales team against a target. - Choose and run marketing channels suited to developer and engineering audiences, including content, search, paid, partners, outbound support and events. - Set up tracking across the full funnel in the CRM so each channel's origin, stage progress and acquisition expense can be reviewed. - Organize release announcements and campaign rollouts from concept through to going live. - Manage the website, newsletter, social channels, events and developer community. - Decide which events and partnerships are worth investing in and stop those that are not. - Assemble customer evidence such as case studies, performance benchmarks and testimonial quotes for sales use. - Prepare sales presentations, competitor comparison sheets and guidance for handling common buyer objections, in partnership with revenue colleagues. - Design automated email sequences that guide new registrants and people on waitlists toward engagement and a sales conversation. - Agree with product and revenue colleagues on what counts as an engaged user and a lead ready for sales. - Report on conversion from signup to activation to paid, and work to improve it. Requirements What we're looking for - Experience owning all aspects of marketing, including content and social media, rather than demand generation alone. - Recent experience owning marketing or growth at a small, early-stage company. - Practical familiarity with customer relationship software and marketing automation platforms. - Experience running both product-led and sales-led go-to-market motions, with campaigns converting into deals. - Ability to work fully onsite in San Francisco. Bonus points - Experience at a developer tools, AI infrastructure or voice AI company. Benefits Compensation and benefits - Base salary: USD 175,000 to 250,000 per year - Equity Location and work model - San Francisco, California, United States - On-site, five days per week in the office - Full-time
