About the job
ABOUT THE ROLE
Join a small B2B SaaS team building AI-powered pricing and monetization software. In this hands-on role, you will own product modules from customer discovery through launch, shaping reliable systems for complex pricing workflows.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Scope product problems with customers, then design versioned APIs, build user interfaces, launch complete modules, and iterate on feedback.
- Design and evolve architecture for AI-enabled experiences across web, conversational interfaces, command-line tools, and vendor integrations.
- Make product features accessible to LLM agents through agent tooling and conversational workflows.
- Move pricing and business logic into backend services to protect financial accuracy.
- Extend typed pricing data models and establish testing, observability, deployment, and performance practices.
- Lead architectural discussions, investigate production issues, mentor teammates, and improve engineering practices.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- At least 8 years of software engineering experience, including startup experience owning and delivering full product areas at staff-level scope.
- Strong backend experience with Python, FastAPI, and MongoDB or comparable technologies, plus experience designing server-side business logic and versioned APIs.
- Hands-on React and TypeScript skills, including the ability to independently deliver a polished user interface.
- A track record of turning ambiguous customer needs into shipped products, including customer discovery, data modeling, and end-to-end delivery.
- Experience with AI-enabled products or agent workflows; familiarity with MCP-style tooling is beneficial.
- Interest or experience in B2B SaaS monetization, including pricing, packaging, quoting, billing, or CPQ.
- Strong attention to correctness, particularly in financial logic, and US work authorization without visa sponsorship.
