Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) – Iowa Remote | Full-Time Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–5:00 PM $115,000–$120,000 per year The Job We’re looking for an Iowa-licensed LMHC to provide counseling by video. You’ll have a set schedule of appointments and work with clients who come in with a variety of personal and mental health concerns. The day is mainly about being present with clients, keeping sessions purposeful, and handling the clinical work that comes with each appointment. What You’ll Spend Your Time On
• Seeing clients for scheduled video sessions
- Seeing clients for scheduled video sessions
- Completing first visits and gathering relevant background information
- Providing short-term or ongoing counseling, depending on the case
- Recording the key details from each appointment
- Discussing difficult or higher-risk cases when another clinician’s input is needed
- Addressing urgent concerns according to established procedures
- Working with outside providers when a client is receiving other services
- Keeping client information private and secure
- Meeting Iowa LMHC practice and ethical requirements
• Master’s degree in Counseling, Mental Health Counseling, or a related field
- Master’s degree in Counseling, Mental Health Counseling, or a related field
- Active LMHC license
- At least 1 year of post-licensure counseling experience preferred
- Strong assessment, treatment planning, and documentation skills
- Comfortable providing care in a remote or telehealth setting
- Reliable internet connection and ability to work independently in a professional home office environment
