Summary Job Description: Registered Nurse - Operating Room
Full-Time Second Shift
The Charge Nurse is responsible for coordinating the daily activities of the Surgery unit. The Charge Nurse works closely with the Preop/PACU to ensure patient flow efficiencies. Also, as a Registered Nurse, implements the nursing process for each patient assigned to his/her care.
Requirements:
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ADN) degree from an accredited institution.
- Current unrestricted licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of Kentucky required.
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) required within 6 months of hire.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) required within 90 days of hire.
- A minimum of one year of relevant job-related experience is required.
- Must obtain Crisis Prevention within 6 months of hire.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Recent experience in specialty preferred.
- Previous supervisory experience and CNOR.
