• Conduct donor medical examination and confirm eligibility as per national donor selection criteria.

• Supervise phlebotomy and manage donor reactions and post-donation care.
• Check and verify cross-match reports and requisitions before issue of blood and components.
• Respond to emergency blood requests, including after hours, as per duty roster.
• Attend to and document transfusion reactions; escalate to the Medical Officer in-charge.
• Maintain donor records, issue registers and other statutory documentation.
• Take part in blood donation camps and donor motivation activities.
• Ensure biosafety, infection control and biomedical waste rules are followed.
• Cover for the Medical Officer in-charge when delegated.
