QA/QC Inspector – Fiber Network Construction & Data CentersLocation: Berwick, PA (Onsite, with daily travel across the assigned territory) | Contract-to-HireOverviewOur client is a fast-growing quality assurance and inspection company supporting large telecommunications and data center construction projects across the United States. They are seeking a QA/QC Inspector to perform independent quality assurance inspections on fiber network and data center construction projects, verifying that contractor work complies with customer specifications, engineering standards, permits, safety requirements and project schedules. This is an inspection and auditing role only. Inspectors do not perform construction, fiber splicing or fiber testing.ResponsibilitiesPerform QA/QC inspections on fiber optic, telecommunications, utility and data center construction projectsInspect civil construction, conduit installation, cable placement, restoration and related infrastructure for compliance with customer standardsIdentify quality, safety, schedule and construction deficienciesPrepare accurate daily reports with photographs and supporting documentationVerify compliance with customer standards, permits, engineering drawings and right-of-way requirementsCommunicate findings professionally with contractors, project managers and customer representativesAttend project meetings, kickoffs and customer site walk-throughsMaintain complete and accurate project documentationTravel throughout the assigned territory as required and represent the company professionally at all customer locationsFollow OSHA requirements and customer safety standards, and stop work when unsafe conditions existRequired Qualifications5+ years of experience in fiber optic, telecommunications, utility, heavy civil, underground utility or infrastructure constructionOSHA 10 certificationAbility to read construction drawings, permits and customer standardsStrong written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervisionStrong organizational and time management skills, and sound judgment when making decisions in the fieldComfortable using tablets, mobile applications, Microsoft Office and cloud-based reporting systemsValid driver's license with an acceptable driving record, and reliable personal transportationWillingness to travel daily throughout the assigned territory, with occasional overnight travelPreferred QualificationsPrevious QA/QC inspection experienceFiber network and/or data center construction experienceKnowledge of OSP and ISP constructionExperience with HDD, plowing, open trench, and jack and bore methodsExperience reviewing as-built documentationOSHA 30 certification and Traffic Control certificationPhysical RequirementsWalk active construction sites for extended periods and work outdoors in varying weather conditionsClimb ladders and navigate uneven terrainLift and carry up to 40 poundsWear required PPE and safely access active construction environmentsSecurity RequirementsBecause this work supports critical infrastructure and data center customers, candidates must successfully complete all required customer-specific background screenings and access requirements before assignment.Pay rate: $35/hr. This is a 3-month contract-to-hire position, onsite in Berwick, PA. Candidates must be US citizens or green card holders.
