Key Responsibilities • Patient Care Assess patients' conditions, record medical histories and symptoms, monitor patient health, and contribute to their plan of care. • Medication and Treatments Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians and monitor patients for side effects and reactions. • Diagnostic Tests Perform and analyze results from diagnostic tests, then communicate these findings to doctors. • Education Educate patients and their families on how to manage illnesses or injuries, explain post-treatment home care needs, dietary restrictions, and medication procedures. • Collaboration: Work as part of a healthcare team to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans. • Advocacy: Act as advocates for patients, ensuring that they receive comprehensive and compassionate care, and help to coordinate between different specialists as needed. • Emergency Response: Provide direct care in emergency situations, under the guidance of doctors or in collaboration with other healthcare professionals. Education Qualifications • Education: Completion of an accredited nursing program, which could be a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN), an Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN), or a diploma from an approved nursing program. • Licensure: Must pass the National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX-RN) to obtain a nursing license.
