Job Description AHRC NYC is holding a HIRING EVENT looking for Full -Time Direct Support Professionals (DSP) for our STATEN ISLAND Group home residences. We are seeking patient, understanding, and team oriented people to support people with I/DD in community participation, advocacy and building meaningful relationships. DATE & TIME : THURSDAY NOVEMBER 5TH from 10AM-1PM LOCATION : Recruiter will provide specific address to qualified candidates. COMPENSATION PACKAGE : $20-$20.36 per hour based on driving status. Qualifications
- Personal or Professional experience supporting People with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) preferred.
- Professionalism; integrity; excellent communication skills. Patience is a MUST!
- Willingness to support people's preferences for community, activities, work, leisure activities, the exercise of their rights etc. in various settings.
- Ability to use a computer for data entry.
- High school education/GED, highly preferred.
