Employment Type: Full time Shift: Day Shift Description: Position Purpose At Saint Francis Hospital t he Dental Assistant is responsible for assisting dentists while providing exceptional treatment to patients with various medical conditions.
What you will do
- Assists dental residents in the delivery of dental care
- Takes medical history, blood pressure, temperature and radiographs on children, adolescent, adult, geriatric and medically compromised patients
- Complies with safety and infection control standards
- Performs reception, scheduling, data entry and billing for the Dental Clinic
Minimum Qualifications
- Education: High School Graduate. Successful completion of an Accredited Dental Assisting program is required.
- Certification : Dental Assisting National Board (DANB) Infection Control. Must have successfully passed the exam.
- Certification : Radiation and Infection Control Certification required.
- Certification : Basic Life Support (BLS) required
- Experience : 1-3 years of Dental Assistance experience is preferred
- Ability to pass drug screening and background check
