Responsibilities:

- Continuously update architectural overviews to reflect new capabilities, changing operational environments, and updated requirements.
Operational SATCOM Assessment
- Collaborate closely with the USINDOPACOM SATCOM office, INDOPACOM service component staffs, Space Command Staff, S4S and CSpOC, DISA, and the Regional SATCOM Support Centers (RSSC) to assess, validate, and refine theater-wide SATCOM requirements in line with vetted operational demands.
- Ensure alignment between communications capabilities and existing/future mission needs.
- Coordinate with cyber operations staff on SATCOM cybersecurity, defensive measures, and cyber-physical resilience
Capability Research and Recommendations
- Conduct thorough research and technical analysis on emerging SATCOM technologies, trends, and assets (both military and commercial).
- Develop forward-looking recommendations for procurement, integration, or enhancement of SATCOM capabilities to support evolving theater operations.
- Prepare and present findings, briefings, and decision papers to senior leadership and stakeholders.
Qualifications: Required:

- In-depth technical knowledge of MILSAT and COMSAT systems, including architecture principles and component capabilities.
- Proven ability to analyze operational requirements and translate them into actionable technical solutions.
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Desired:
- Master’s degree in a relevant discipline.
- Prior experience collaborating with USINDOPACOM or in Indo-Pacific defense planning.
- Familiarity with blue force tracking/architecture tools and situational awareness platforms.
