Job Description The PCS Sourcing & Procurement Intern will gain a hands-on experience in the end-to-end supply chain, allowing the intern to contribute to strategic value creation while mastering operational purchasing workflows.

Phase 1: Procurement Operations (Foundational - Weeks 1-4) Focus: Learning the "mechanics" of the business and ensuring service continuity.

Phase 2: Strategic Sourcing (Advanced - Weeks 5-10) Focus: Applying analytical skills to drive long-term value.

• Market Analysis: Conducting research on specific commodity markets to identify potential cost-saving opportunities or supply risks. • Supplier Evaluation: Supporting the RFP (Request for Proposal) process by creating evaluation scorecards for incoming bids. • Negotiation Prep: Assisting in the preparation of negotiation scripts and benchmarking data for upcoming contract renewals. • Risk Assessment: Updating the supplier risk register based on current market trends or performance data. Phase 3: Capstone Project (The "Value-Add" - Weeks 11-12) Focus: Demonstrating impact.

  • Deliverable: The intern will select one category or process to analyze. They will identify a "pain point" (e.g., an inefficient approval process or a lack of supplier diversity in a category), conduct an analysis, and present a proposed strategy for improvement to leadership.
