Employment Type – CONTRACT ONLY W2/1099 candidates Client is looking for Citizens/Green card JOB DESCRIPTION We’re looking for a hands-on Hardware Test & Automation Engineer to build and maintain Python-based automation for hardware validation and production testing. The ideal candidate combines strong software skills with practical hardwareexperience, enjoys workingwith lab equipment and electronic systems,and thrives at the intersection of hardware, firmware, and software.
Required Qualifications:
- Technical degree in ComputerScience, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent practical experience
- Strong Python programming skills with experience developing automation tools, test software,or data acquisition systems that interface with hardware, test instruments, or other external systems
- Hands-on experience using electronic test equipment such as oscilloscopes, DMMs, power supplies,logic analyzers, signal generators, spectrum analyzers, or similar lab instruments
- Basic understanding of electronic circuitsand hardware communication interfaces, with the ability to troubleshoot hardware/software issues in collaboration with electrical and firmware engineers
- Experience workingwith hardware interfaces or communication protocolssuch as SCPI, VISA, serial, USB, Ethernet, UART, SPI, I2C, or similar
- Familiarity with git, collaborative software development workflows, and maintaining softwarebased on engineering requirements
