You will be based out of our Coalville office and report to the Safety Manager. You will spend up to 75% of your time at project sites and be a visible, hands-on safety presence who partners with project leadership to spot hazards early and keep crews safe. When you are not deployed to a project, you will support planning, reporting, and safety administration from the Coalville office.

- Monitor site operations for unsafe work practices and step in proactively to correct them
- Inspect job sites for compliance with OSHA, DOT/PHMSA, DOT/FMCSA, and company and client requirements, then document findings and coordinate corrective actions
- Conduct Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs) with project leadership to identify and correct hazardous conditions
- Perform weekly safety audits using the Quanta Services Capacity Model
- Deliver on-site employee safety orientations and training, and contribute to weekly safety meetings
- Collect and track safety documentation from field staff using electronic tools, including HCSS construction software
- Support accident prevention, incident reporting, and investigations across the regional project portfolio
- Exercise Stop Work Authority immediately when a violation or unmitigated hazard is present
- Manage inventory and distribution of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and monitor its proper use
Where You'll Work
- Civil Division: roads, bridges, grading, sitework, wind, solar, and substation projects, right-of-way work, site remediation, and underground utilities
- Gas Division: high-pressure gas lines, IHP gas distribution pipe, regulator stations, anomaly digs, natural gas system maintenance, and DOT-regulated pipeline projects
What You'll Bring
What You Bring
- 2 to 5 years of field construction safety experience; civil, excavation, trenching, and pipeline experience preferred
- Working knowledge of OSHA 1926 construction standards and DOT/PHMSA and DOT/FMCSA requirements
- Experience developing and delivering JHAs and investigating incidents
- Strong written and verbal communication and training skills
- Ability to build trust with crews, supervisors, and client personnel
- Ability to prioritize and manage time across multiple active sites
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and web-based tracking software; knowledge of or willingness to learn HCSS

Working Conditions
This is a physically demanding field role. You will work outdoors in all seasons and weather, with exposure to extreme temperatures, dust, noise, and heavy equipment. Expect frequent lifting, bending, climbing, and standing over extended shifts. Routine lifting is up to 50 lbs., and some project tasks may require up to 80 lbs. with appropriate assistance. PPE is required per project and OSHA standards. Travel is up to 75% to active project sites in Utah and surrounding states, so overnight stays should be expected.
