A key focus is the development, review and optimisation of Asset Management Strategies and Procedures ensuring asset requirements are aligned with equipment performance, identified failure modes, operational requirements and reliability objectives.
The role works across site Asset Management and Operations to translate asset and reliability information into practical, prioritised and sustainable improvements.
Key responsibilities

- Review and maintain the quality of SAP equipment data and Loss Accounting information to support accurate reliability analysis and decision-making
- Analyse and interrogate Loss Accounting reports for critical fixed plant electrical, instrumentation and control system assets to identify performance trends and loss drivers
- Prepare reliability performance information and recommendations for weekly reliability and work planning meetings and develop actions arising from these reviews
- Lead and support structured Defect Elimination (DE) and Root Cause Analysis (RCA) activities
- Lead or support the implementation of improvement opportunities identified through daily and weekly data analysis, reliability reviews and operational performance assessments
- Lead and support site reliability improvements and Asset Strategy Reviews to improve equipment reliability, availability and maintainability
- Conduct site inspections and investigations to validate SAP equipment data anomalies, Loss Accounting anomalies and equipment performance issues
- Monitor and verify the progress and effectiveness of improvement actions arising from Defect Elimination projects and reliability improvement initiatives
- Provide technical coaching and guidance to Maintenance teams on SAP data quality, Root Cause Analysis, Condition Monitoring techniques and reliability best practices
- Utilise SAP, Loss Accounting and asset performance data to support reliability improvement planning, maintenance strategy optimisation and asset management objectives
- Prepare reports, maintain improvement action registers and communicate reliability outcomes, risks and opportunities with key stakeholders
- Support safety and equipment improvement initiatives, contribute to cross-functional meetings and promote continuous improvement across Site Asset Management, Maintenance and Operations teams
- Develop and maintain appropriate asset-management documentation, including strategies, procedures, reports and improvement action registers.

Your work environment
Tanami is one of Australia’s most remote and significant underground gold mines, located deep in the Tanami Desert of the Northern Territory. As a fully fly-in, fly-out (FIFO) operation, Tanami flies around 1,800 employees and contractors to site via its own airstrip, with teams working on a rotational camp roster. The mine was originally an open-pit operation but has evolved into a world-class underground asset with extensive modern infrastructure. A major expansion (Tanami Expansion 2) is underway – including a 1.5-kilometre-deep hoisting shaft – to extend Tanami’s life beyond 2040 and increase production efficiency. The remote location fosters a close-knit team spirit, where safety and mutual respect are paramount. Tanami’s workforce is proud to work in partnership with the local Warlpiri people on whose land we operate, ensuring that our presence contributes positively to communities. Working at Tanami means tackling unique technical challenges in a supportive environment, with a strong focus on Always Safe, responsible operations and improving daily to secure this mine’s long-term future.
This Tanami site-based position will work on a fly in fly out roster of 8 days on site, 6 days off from point of hire Perth, Brisbane, Alice Springs or Darwin.
