Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) National Dental | Commack, NY Pay: $60–$65 per hour Location: 5 Commack Road, Commack, NY 11725 Schedule: Monday–Friday | Office hours: 9:00 AM–6:00 PM About the Opportunity National Dental is looking for a Registered Dental Hygienist to join our team in Commack, NY! We're looking for a hygienist who enjoys building relationships with patients, providing quality preventive care, and working alongside a supportive dental team. Our practice offers a single-column hygiene schedule with 60-minute routine recall and prophylaxis appointments, giving you the time to focus on patient care without feeling rushed. What You'll Do
• Provide preventive and periodontal hygiene care, including prophylaxis, scaling and root planing, and periodontal maintenance.
- Provide preventive and periodontal hygiene care, including prophylaxis, scaling and root planing, and periodontal maintenance.
- Perform periodontal assessments, charting, and appropriate diagnostic imaging.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene, preventive care, and periodontal health.
- Collaborate with dentists and clinical team members on patient treatment plans.
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and follow infection control protocols.
- Provide compassionate, professional care to patients with a variety of insurance plans, including PPO and Medicaid.
- Active Dental Hygiene License in New York
- Local Anesthesia Certification (if applicable by state)
- Current CPR/BLS Certification
- Strong communication and patient education skills
- Commitment to quality patient care
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
- Laser Certification
- Experience with assisted hygiene models
- Experience in PPO, Fee-for-Service, and/or Medicaid environments
- Experience with periodontal therapy
- Experience with patient education and treatment acceptance
