Solutions Engineer

About the company Our client is a software company. The role Raydar is recruiting for this role on behalf of our client. Partner with the sales team to shape technical plans for prospective buyers, from early conversations through to implementation. The work combines polished demonstrations, technical talks and hands-on developer-focused discussions, with support for clients as they move toward go-live. What you'll do - Work with sales to uncover technical needs and map out proposed approaches for prospective enterprise buyers. - Put together polished demonstrations and technical talks for both new and existing accounts. - Steer technical dialogue on how a customer would connect, where their needs differ from current functionality, and how the rollout would proceed. - Develop expert-level familiarity with the company's full set of interfaces and feed product improvement suggestions back to the team. - Assist clients with technical questions and make sure work passes cleanly from presales to the implementation team. Requirements What we're looking for - Three or more years of experience in a technical customer-facing role. - Experience as a solutions engineer or pre-sales engineer at a B2B software or API company serving enterprise or mid-market buyers. - Skill at making complicated technical topics meaningful to business audiences without engineering backgrounds. - Solid hands-on background integrating software through web APIs, with the ability to read and write code and work through API reference material. - A bachelor's degree in a technical discipline such as computing or engineering. - Able to spend up to roughly two-fifths of working time on the road. Bonus points - Prior work at a high-growth startup or scale-up. - Background in fintech, tax technology or compliance software.
