Summary Job Description: MRI Tech - PRN
Operate magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) equipment to obtain high-quality diagnostic images of patients for medical interpretation. Job Duties:
• Operate MRI equipment to acquire high-quality diagnostic images of the body according to established protocols and physician orders.
- Operate MRI equipment to acquire high-quality diagnostic images of the body according to established protocols and physician orders.
- Perform basic image processing techniques such as windowing, reconstruction, and multiplanar reformatting to enhance visualization of anatomical structures and abnormalities.
- Assist radiologists and physicians in image interpretation.
- Position patients appropriately on the MRI table and provide instructions for maintaining stillness during the examination to minimize motion artifacts.
• Associate degree or higher from an institution accredited by an agency recognized by (ARRT) American Registry of Radiologic Technologist
- Associate degree or higher from an institution accredited by an agency recognized by (ARRT) American Registry of Radiologic Technologist
- Registered by the ARRT required
- Military training graduate of JRCERT-accredited program can substitute for Associate degree requirement
- BLS Certification required within 90 days of hire
• Two years’ experience working as an MRI Technologist in a hospital or medical imaging facility preferred.
- Two years’ experience working as an MRI Technologist in a hospital or medical imaging facility preferred.
