Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Business/Accounting intern to utilize business administration principles to perform data analysis, accounts payable/receivable work, assisting in journal entries, budgeting activities and other ad hoc business support. Job Description
Typical Job Duties
- Perform studies, projects and assignments of general scope and/or specifically assigned duties related to carrying out the functions of the department.
- Assist in the preparation, analysis and interpretation of information and statistical reports as required.
- Conduct special studies, analyses and investigations; record information and prepare graphic and interpretative illustrations.
- Maintain departmental records and prepare statements and reports relating to operating activities; analyze and interpret such records and reports as directed by management.
- Help maintain accurate financial records and databases.
- Support month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Conduct data analysis and assist with budgeting activities
- Work with other personnel in the department and assist in the performance of their assignments.
- Become familiar with Company organization, departmental functional responsibilities, and group interrelationships
Qualifications/ Minimum Requirements:
- Currently pursuing a degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
