Job Description:
MRI Technologist Location: New Hyde Park, NY Organization: New York Imaging (NYI)
Key Responsibilities As an MRI Technologist at NYI, your responsibilities will include:
- Maintain and adjust imaging equipment.
- Calibrate MRI (MRA) consoles and peripheral hardware.
- Operate injectors with proficiency.
- Ensure patient safety using aseptic injection techniques and appropriate pre-screening.
- Address patient concerns throughout the procedure.
- Flush IV lines post-contrast injection.
- Accurately follow physician orders for imaging areas.
- Prepare patients for procedures, including medical history review and answering procedural questions.
- Shield exposed areas of the body to protect the patient during imaging.
- Attach physiological monitoring leads as necessary.
- Provide headphones for patient comfort.
- Properly position patients for imaging.
- Maintain accurate patient medical records.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
What We’re Looking For Qualifications:
• Associate Degree • Current state license • CPR certification • Minimum of one year of continuous MRI experience • Bilingual in English and Spanish (preferred) • Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills • Commitment to patient care and safety What We Offer Competitive Salary up to $69.50/hr Comprehensive Benefits Package including:
