City/State Virginia Beach, VA Work Shift Rotating Provider Specialty Anesthesiology Overview: Sentara Anesthesiology Specialists is seeking a Board-Certified Anesthesiologist with strong proficiency in regional blocks and comfort caring for pediatric patients to serve as Medical Director at Virginia Beach Ambulatory Surgery Center (VBASC).

This opportunity is ideal for an experienced physician leader who enjoys a collaborative ambulatory surgery environment. In addition to supervising CRNAs, the Medical Director will be a highly effective communicator who can successfully partner with facility leadership, surgeons, and ancillary departments to support clinical excellence and operational success. The Medical Director will provide clinical and operational leadership for the anesthesia program while maintaining an active clinical practice. This role is approximately 90% clinical and 10% administrative .

We provide market-competitive compensation packages, inclusive of base pay, incentives, and benefits. The base pay range for full-time employment is $388,024.00 - $623,916.80 annually. Additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, on-call pay, shift premiums, extra-shift incentives, or bonus opportunities. Compensation within the range may vary based on qualifications, experience, location, market conditions, and business needs. Note: If an annual salary is posted, it is based on a full-time colleague working 2,080 hours annually.
