Software Engineer (Python)- Product Development & Automation
The Opportunity
We have an outstanding career opportunity for a Software Engineer (Python) in Bengaluru and Hyderabad locations. As a Software Engineer, you will contribute to both product development and automation, building large-scale test frameworks, driving engineering quality, and helping the team adopt modern AI-assisted development practices. You will collaborate closely with senior and principal engineers, mentor peers, and help solve some of the most challenging customer and network problems escalated to engineering.
What you’ll do
- Work with a highly motivated team of engineers in a fast-paced environment.
- Design and build test automation frameworks and tools.
- Design and build large-scale automation frameworks, tools, and scale-test environments.
- Design and implement automated tests, including end-to-end integration tests and load/stress tests.
- Help drive adoption of best practices in testing and product quality.
- Drive adoption of agentic AI-assisted coding and AI agents to accelerate how the team builds and ships.
- Mentor and grow engineers through design discussions, code reviews, and technical coaching.
- Influence cross-team technical decisions and align implementations with the broader engineering direction.
- Collaborate through design discussions and code reviews, working with senior and principal engineers to align your work with the broader technical direction.
- Solve critical customer network problems escalated to engineering.
Who you are
- Bachelor's degree required.
- Experience with virtualization and cloud administration
- Strong analytical skills and a proactive attitude
- Hands-on experience with both Windows and Unix operating systems
- Strong understanding of clustering and networking
- Experience with skills such as Python, Selenium C#, JavaScript, CPP, Ansible, or Terraform
- Scripting skills, particularly in Python, for automating tests
- Experience with debugging, unit testing, API testing, and test automation practices.
- Working knowledge of Git or another source-control system.
- Security and SaaS experience strongly preferred.
