Employment Type: Part time Shift: Day Shift Description: Position Purpose: At Naugatuck Valley Surgical Center , part of Saint Mary's Hospital , the Operating Room RN delivers safe, high-quality care to surgical patients.
What You Will Do:
- Provide intraoperative care by performing circulating and/or scrub duties, including patient positioning, site prep, instrumentation, and sterile technique.
- Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure efficient, coordinated care throughout procedures.
Minimum Qualifications: Required:
• Graduation from an accredited nursing program with an Associate’s degree in Nursing is required.
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program with an Associate’s degree in Nursing is required.
- Valid RN license in Connecticut.
- Ideal candidates must have 1 or more years of intraoperative nursing experience, including circulating and scrub experience.
• Current BLS/CPR (AHA or Red Cross) • Familiarity with AORN standards Important Consideration: This role is not designed for new graduates or those seeking training through the Periop 101 program. Candidates must be able to function independently in the Operating Room.
Position Highlights:
• Part-Time: 24 hrs/week – Day Shift
- Part-Time: 24 hrs/week – Day Shift
- All shifts are Monday through Friday
- No weekend, holiday, or on-call requirements
- Hourly Staff RN position; pay range: $37.25 – $61.75/hour
- Pay is based on working RN experience only. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location.
- Unit-based specialty pay is available for experienced nurses with one or more years of RN experience
