Manager of Risk Selection-Chief Life Underwriter $101,024-$131,331 minimum starting pay Job Level: Manager

What You Will Be Doing:
Lead life underwriting risk selection, operations, personnel, and strategy to support financial strength, compliance, customer experience, and long-term risk objectives. Partner across functions to align decisions with mortality and morbidity expectations.
What We're Looking For:
- Demonstrates analytical, financial judgment, problem-solving, communication, negotiation, influence, collaboration, leadership, and relationship-building skills.
- Applies advanced expertise in complex medical, financial, and behavioral life underwriting risk, including mortality and morbidity factors.
- Leads employees and communicates effectively with policyholders, agents, company personnel, vendors, and industry organizations.
- Leads operational improvements and evaluates life applications for financial, compliance, security, fraud, control, cost, and operational risks.
- FLMI, CLU, FALU, or similar coursework preferred.
- College-level course of study typically required; bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Insurance, Risk Management, Health Sciences, or a related field preferred.
- Four or more years of managerial experience typically required, including leading and developing others to achieve business goals.
- Ability to perform the essential functions of the position, with or without a reasonable accommodation.
