Job Description • Teach and supervise nursing students in classroom and clinical settings, focusing on obstetrics • Collaborate with faculty to develop, administer, and grade course materials and examinations • Evaluate student performance and maintain accurate records of attendance, grades, and clinical skills • Participate in curriculum development, quality improvement initiatives, and program assessment • Orient and mentor new faculty members in both theory and clinical instruction • Utilize adult learning principles and integrate technology in teaching methods • Maintain current knowledge of nursing practices, technologies, and safety regulations in obstetrics • Participate in faculty meetings, committee activities, and student advising • Ensure clinical assignments meet both student learning objectives and facility requirements • Submit required reports and forms to the program director in a timely manner • Maintain professional development and contribute to the nursing program's mission and goals Pay Range: $57-$70/hr.
Qualifications
- Hold a valid, active license issued by the State Board of Registered Nursing
- Master of Nursing or higher degree from an accredited college or university that includes course work in nursing or education, administration. OB, Pediatrics, Psychiatry or Medical Surgical
- At least four years’ experience as a registered nurse providing direct patient care
- A year of Clinical experience within the last five years (Clinical teaching applies toward direct patient care). Clinically competent as defined in CCR Section 1420(c)
- Expertise in one of the following areas of nursing – Psychiatric, Geriatrics, Med/Surg, Pediatrics or OB-Gyn
