CNC Machinist

The Machine Operator/CNC Programmer/CNC Operator role at Ferguson is a full-time, on-site position based in Theodore, AL. The individual in this role will set up, program and operate CNC machinery and related equipment to produce parts according to specifications and production schedules. Daily responsibilities include loading materials, monitoring machine performance, performing basic maintenance, and adjusting settings to ensure accurate and efficient machining. The role also involves inspecting finished parts, documenting production data, and collaborating with supervisors and team members to maintain safety, quality, and workflow standards. This position requires adherence to all safety guidelines and active participation in continuous improvement initiatives.

Schedule: Monday - Friday 7am - 3:30pm

Pay starts at $25 but could be more based on experience

Qualifications · Strong machine operation skills, including the ability to set up and safely run CNC and related machinery. · Manual machining to include with lathes and mills, but not limited to. · Hands-on experience with machining processes, such as milling and turning, and reading basic technical drawings. · Applied quality control skills, including inspecting parts, using measuring tools, and maintaining production standards. · General mechanical aptitude and familiarity with industrial machinery, tools, and equipment. · Ability to follow written and verbal instructions, with attention to detail and safe work practices. · Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment; CNC programming experience is a plus. · Willingness to work on-site in Theodore, AL, including standing for extended periods and handling materials as required. · High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in machining or CNC operation is preferred. · Experience with 3D Modeling software, such as Fusion 360 or Solidworks, is a plus but not required. - Pay Range: - $18.30 - $29.22 - Estimated Ranges displayed are Monthly for Salaried roles OR Hourly for all other roles. - This role is Bonus or Incentive Plan eligible. - Ferguson complies with all wage regulations.
