Job Description GENERAL SUMMARY: Lead the delivery of exceptional, compassionate patient care in our Academic Internal Medicine setting. You'll take ownership of the nursing process—from initial assessment through planning, implementation, and evaluation—while coordinating care, delegating responsibilities, and supervising team members. Your clinical expertise and strong communication skills will be essential as you collaborate with our healthcare team, educate patients and families, and document care with precision. When appropriate, you'll work alongside principal investigators, bringing both independence and collaborative spirit to every patient interaction. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Champion quality, compassionate patient care by applying the full nursing process to develop and implement individualized care plans
  • Lead and supervise nursing care delivery, delegating tasks effectively while maintaining clinical oversight and accountability
  • Build strong relationships with patients and families through clear, empathetic communication and comprehensive patient education
  • Collaborate seamlessly with physicians, specialists, and the broader healthcare team to ensure coordinated, evidence-based care
  • Maintain meticulous clinical documentation that reflects the quality and scope of care provided
  • Demonstrate clinical competence in your specialty area, staying current with evolving best practices and clinical knowledge
  • Work independently and in partnership with principal investigators on clinical initiatives when appropriate
  • Utilize strong analytical and critical thinking skills to formulate effective nursing interventions and adapt care plans as needed
