- Casual - 1st and 2nd shifts (5:30 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.) (11:30 a.m. - 8:00 p.m.)
- As needed per pay period.
Duties and Key Responsibilities
- Plans daily activities (and/or assists co-workers, as needed) to ensure appropriate and timely service and clean up of meals.
- Portions/serves food neatly and attractively.
- Maintains established portion control when portioning/serving foods.
- Covers, labels, and dates all opened, prepped, or leftover food items placed in storage.
- Efficiently assembles patients' trays according to established procedure; assists with assembling late trays; efficiently serves cafeteria customers.
- Transports patient tray conveyors to patient units in absence of volunteers.
- Retrieves dirty tray conveyors following meal service
- Performs ware washing functions according to establish procedure.
- Keeps work area clean, sanitized, and orderly throughout the day.
- Cleans and sanitizes dirty pots, pans, and utensils.
Requirements
- Weekend rotation
- Flexibility in scheduling to meet department needs.
Education/Certifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
Experience
- Food service experience preferred.
