Part-Time School Social Worker 2026-2027 School Year | Tinley Park | Up to $60/hour
Hello School Social Workers! Come work with a local, women and therapist-founded company that truly understands the school-based experience. Ampersand Therapy is hiring a Part-Time School Social Worker in Tinley Park, IL.
Position Details
- Start Date: ASAP until December 22nd, 2026
- Schedule: Elementary School, Part-Time, 3 days per week, 7:40 am to 2:40 pm
- Location: Tinley Park, IL
Your Key Responsibilities
- Provide IEP counseling services and social-emotional support
- Attend and participate in IEP meetings
- Complete IEP documentation and progress reports
- Collaborate with school-based special education teams
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation
- Engage with families and community-based supports when appropriate
- Participate in staff meetings and contribute to a collaborative school culture
What We’re Looking For
- Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW)
- Professional Educator License (PEL) with a School Social Worker endorsement
- Experience in schools or special education is a plus
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a major asset but not required
- Passion for inclusive, student-centered support and school collaboration
