Full-Time Carpenter - Busch Gardens Williamsburg
What you get to do:
- Perform all functions of general carpentry work for in-park builds, repairs, installations, providing a safe environment for guests and employees.
- Select proper materials for jobs
- Dependable performance in terms of attendance, acceptance of assignments, and strict adherence to all safety policies and requirements
- Communicate professionally and effectively with Ambassadors, Vendors and our Guests
- Perform other duties as assigned
What it takes to succeed:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Miust be at least 18 years old
- Posess a valid driver's license
- 3+ years of onsite experience in the carpentry trade
- Experience with cabinet building and framing, fabrications of solid surface and laminate countertops, roof repairs, drywall installation, concrete work, and more.
- Ability to work with blueprints or in-depth sketches
- Ability to operate and maintain power and hand tools and other equipment in good safe condition
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Possess basic mathematical skills
- Work at heights up to 100 feet, work on scaffolding up to 24 feet, and ability to climb and work off of ladders
- Ability to lift 50 pounds and push/pull up to 100 pounds with assistance
- Ability to work indoors and outdoors, in varying weather, to include extreme heat. Position may be exposed to fumes, dust, odors, loud noises/vibrations and cold/heat temperature extremes
- Perform cleaning duties, including use of cleaning chemicals
- Work a flexible schedule/hour based on business need, to include opening, mid-, and closing shifts; nights, weekends, and holidays
Compensation: 25.00 USD
