Job Description The Registered Dietitian is the nutrition professional that develops and oversees the implementation of nutrition interventions/prescriptions for patients nutrition diagnosis. Responsible for coordinating the plan of care/interventions and consulting with other members of the health care team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Demonstrates Proficiency in Standards of Practice (Nutrition Assessment, Nutrition Diagnosis, Nutrition Intervention/Plan of Care and Nutrition Monitoring and Evaluation.
- Demonstrates Proficiency in Standards of Professional Performance (Quality In Practice, Competency/Accountability, Provisions of Services, Application of Research, Communication and Applications of Knowledge and Utilization and Management of Resources).
- Uses Nutrition Care Process (NCP) ADIME-assessment, diagnosis, intervention, monitoring and evaluation for patient's nutritional assessment.
- Performs Nutrition Focused Physical Exam (NFPE) and documenting clinical criteria to demonstrate patients with malnutrition.
- Collaborates with other members of the healthcare team regarding patients nutrition plan of care.
- Completes yearly department competency and other performance improvement projects as assigned.
- Uses Evidence Based Practice in patient care.
- Serves as a preceptor to dietetic interns.
Employee has 90 days from hire to get their secondary state license.

Licensed Dietician (MO) - Missouri Division of Professional Registration, Registered Dietitian - Commission of Dietetic Registration (CDR)
